Favorite Props

Dallas Goedert Anytime TD Scorer +150

The Chiefs have allowed the 6th most receiving touchdowns to oppose Tight Ends this season.

AJ Brown Anytime TD Scorer +115

In general, the Chiefs have a hard time keeping opposing pass catchers out of the endzone. Per Football Outsiders, the Chiefs rank 20th at defending the pass and 31st against opposing teams WR #1.

They have allowed opposing wide receivers to score 20 touchdowns which are 3rd most in the NFL throughout the 2022 season.

Travis Kelce Over 76.5 Receiving Yards -115

The Eagles do a great job keeping opposing Tight Ends out of the end zone, allowing only three touchdowns all season. Kelce is Mahomes’s number-one target and goes whenever the chiefs need a big play. Kelce has gone over 76.5 yards in both playoff games this season.

Miles Sanders Under 57.5 Rushing Yards -115

Miles Sanders had hit this number in three of his last five games, including once in the playoffs, but that was against a Giants team that ranks near the bottom in rush defense.

Kansas City has given up the 8th fewest rushing yards to running backs. The Eagles have also increased Kenneth Gainwell’s snap count and shown he can be a weapon out of the backfield.

Super Bowl Pick

Ultimately, these were the two best teams in the NFL throughout the season, so they ended up with a first-round bye in the playoffs.

Both offenses are electric and can put up points in a hurry. The Eagles and Chiefs rank in the top three in offensive success rate and Offensive Drive Success rate.

Per PFF, Offensive Drive Success Rate is the percentage of team drives ending in a field goal or touchdown. Kansas City ranks 1st, with 46.5% of their offensive drives ending in points. The Eagles rank right behind with the 2nd highest rate, 43.7%.

This game may come down to who has the ball last and which team’s defense can make a series of plays and make a stop when needed.

Defensively, the Eagles have the upper hand. In Football Outsiders DVOA metric, the Eagles rank 6th in total defense, 1st in pass defense, and 21st in rush defense. Meanwhile, the Chiefs ranked 17th in total defense, 20th in pass defense, and 15th in rush defense.

A lot of the Chiefs’ success will lean on the health of Patrick Mahomes and how his ankle will hold up against the best defensive line in the NFL. The Eagles led the NFL in sacks, 2nd in sack conversion rate, and 2nd in quick pressure rate.

Pick: Eagles ML -125

The Eagles are a more well-balanced team and appear more dominant on both sides of the ball. I like the Eagles to win Super Bowl LVII.
