Just saw this on Steam, anyone know anything about it?
All through that I thought his mask was a massive grin.
Same. It was unsettling.
That song in the background was amazing.
I followed this game for quite some time after hearing about it via IGF, then it sorta fell off my radar until I saw that it was available on Steam.
I too am interested in impressions from people who've bought it before making the plunge myself, spent a bit too much on games recently.
I remember RockPaperShotgun had quite a glowing appraisal of it.
I tried the demo, it was actually fairly unsettling. The sound design was spectacular.
Just learned from Zephos link that this guy also made the "NES demake" of Silent Hill 2.
Download from here.
Will try that out I guess seeing as it's free.
I bought it. Will post impressions after getting in a good session.
EDIT: Played for a bit, pretty good so far. Much more atmospheric than I anticipated. A bit confused on how the survival elements work, but should get the hang of it with time. Seems like the character will just start complaining when he needs something. The psychosis element could be interesting, there's already some "uh... what" elements to it, and it could go somewhere cool if they did it right.
Certainly a well made game, and the sound is an excellent match for it.
This part made me laugh.
