I recieved this email from Gabe this very morning, giving the usual shoutout for HL3. Sorry folks. Here's a link to the screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/Bb1D0.png
How do you want proof? I can't seem to think of anyway to verify this myself... I'm really ****ing sorry I never bothered making an avatar...
The best way to verify an e-mail, though not infallible, is to click on the little drop down next to the reply button on Gabe's e-mail and then click "Show original". Paste that text here. They are the original message headers.

Subject: Re: AMA on Reddit Thread-Topic: AMA on Reddit ??? That doesn't seem to describe your email at all. Are you sure you didn't take some old header?
Half-Life 3 guys ??? What about Episode 3, heh. Ask gabe about Episode 3 not HL3. That word "Really" what Gabe said is suspicios...What do you guys think ? And what is 10'UI ?
I was gonna ask him if he wanted to do an AMA on reddit, but changed my mind, and decided to ask for HL3...
The 10 foot UI is another name for Steam's Big Picture mode. It would be much easier to sell a game called "Half-Life 3" at this point than trying to convince people that "Half-Life 2 - Episode 3" is anything more than an expansion to an 8 year old game.
Here is a video directly from my browser of me interacting with the email in various ways.. This way, at least you will know it's not photoshopped.. There really isn't much else I can do to prove that my information is legit.

You didnt even scroll down to show the rest of the conversation. There were 8 emails in that exchange, could be one of them was from Gabe saying "Haha, jk about that first email."
