What does “attention to” mean on an order forum?
I’m trying to order some computer parts from Compaq and they have like:
First Name:
Last Name:
Attention to:
Address:
City:
blah, blah, blah.
Little help for this idiot?
if it’s being sent to a big company you send it to a person in that company:
“FAO (for the attention of) John Smith
The Name Company
Address”
so that the company knows how to redirect the package internally.
Yep, basically just signifies who exactly the package is for, or what department. Like, if you were sending the package in for an RMA, usually it would be Attention: RMA Department though, they usually specify if that’s what they want first.
I don’t know what the ‘to’ is doing on there.
Usually its just Attention: <name>
