New book on the design of Half-Life 1

Hey all, I recently released a book on the design of Half-Life 1. The book is part of the Reverse Design series, and it's goal is to reverse-engineer all of the design decisions that went into classic games. We've done other books before, but the one you guys might be interested is the Half-Life Book. There's a free version online which you can see here, and another version you can get as an eBook that has some extra content including an analysis of Half-Life's influence on multiplayer.

I'd love to know what you guys think!

That's actually pretty interesting! I've only had a quick look at the first two pages just now, but I'll definitely read the rest later. Looks like there's a lot I can learn from this for my mods.

Saw this on Reddit, have had it bookmarked for an evening when I can give it a proper read. From what I looked at though it's good stuff.
