So what is TF2 crafting?

As mentioned earlier, crafting refers to a system in TF2 crafting online action games where the player is allowed any specific item for use in the game.

The items that you are allowed to craft include cosmetics, weapons, and other materials that can be used in doing further crafting, such as class tokens, metal, and scrap. In crafting, you usually use unwanted or duplicate items gained through the item drop system.

In order to craft items, then you need to follow a specific blueprint. After following the blueprint, then you will gain the item specified by that blueprint.

Some of the blueprints are available in the game immediately, while for others, you will get them after crafting that item. For instance, combining 1 reclaimed metal with 1 Scout’s Jarate produces a Mad Milk. Thus, if you did not know the blueprint, then you learn it through the process.

The best thing is that you are free to experiment with different combinations of items. You will not be penalized or lose items if you attempt to craft components that do not have a blueprint.

Which items can you craft, and how do you craft them?

Metal

The main items that you can use to craft other items include Refined Metal, Reclaimed Metal, and Scrap Metal. Among the three, Scrap Metal is the most basic, and it is used to make Refined Metal and Reclaimed Metal.

For you to produce Scrap Metal, you can combine two weapons or items of the same class. Alternatively, you can make Scrap Metal by combining two identical primary, secondary, or melee weapons.

The blueprint for making Reclaimed and Refined metals is also simple. Three Scrap Metals can be combined to form one Reclaimed Metal, while Three Reclaimed Metal can be combined to form one Refined Metal.

Headgear

There are two different ways that you can use to craft a headgear. First, you can combine 2 Refined Metal, and you will produce one Random Headgear. On the other hand, you can combine 4 Refined Metal and 1 Class Token so that you will produce one corresponding class headgear.

If you wish to get the blueprints for the specific class headgear, you can find them listed at the beginning of the particular class section.

Tokens

Apart from the metals, Class Tokens and Slot Tokens are the other main components that can be used in crafting items. If you wish to have Class Tokens, you can do so by combining three weapons of the same class.

Additionally, if you combine three same-slot items, you will get a Slot Token.

If you do not have enough metal, but you have many tokens, then you can use them to make a metal. Here, if you combine any three tokes, then you are going to produce 1 Reclaimed Metal.

Special Halloween Items

You can get a few Halloween themed items crafted with Unusual Haunted Metal Scrap. Unusual Haunted Metal Scrap is a special kind of metal that you get in the Horseless Headless Horsemann fight. It is limited to 1 piece per account.

For you to get this metal, you must use a melee weapon to land the killing blow on the Horseless Headless Horsemann, and you should remain alive for the rest of the fight.

The Voodoo Juju and Spine Chilling Skull

Any class can use both Voodoo Juju and Spine Chilling Skull, and they are only cosmetic. As such, they do not provide any bonus when equipped.

So what is the blueprint for making either of the headgears?

For you to make either Voodoo Juju or Spine Chilling Skull, you combine 4 Refined Metal with 1 Unusual Haunted Metal Scrap.

Sniper Items

  • Ol’ Snaggletooth

For you to get the rugged crocodile head hat, you combine 4 Refined Metal with 1 Bushwacka or 1 Sydney Sleeper.

  • Sydney Sleeper

Sydney Sleeper is a deadly rifle that you get by combining 1 Reclaimed Metal with 1 Huntsman bow.

  • The Horseless Headless Horsemann’s Headtaker

The Horseless Headless Horsemann’s Headcater has the same stats and decapitation function as the Eyelander, and it is only usable by the Demoman.

  • Bushwacka

You can Bushwacka to the Sniper’s melee arsenal by combining 1 Eyelander with 1 Reclaimed Metal.

  • Darwin’s Danger Shield

You get the Darwin’s Danger Shield by combining 1 Reclaimed Metal with 1 Razorback. This shield is also a crocodile themed item.

Demoman Items

  • Ullapool Caber: Ullapool Caber is crafted using 1 Reclaimed Metal and 1 Sandman.
  • Pain Train: the Demoman and the soldier can use this one. It is also crafted with 1 Reclaimed Metal and 1 Sandman.
  • Loch-n-Load: you form Loch-n-Load by combining 1 Demoman Class Token, 1 Secondary Weapon Token, and 1 Scrap Metal.

  • Brass Breast: this is a mini-gun that requires 2 Reclaimed Metal and 1 Natascha.
  • Warrior’s Spirit: this is a ferocious pair of gloves. The Warrior’s Spirit requires 2 Reclaimed Metal and 1 glove of running urgently.
