I just turned on TV. The Outer Limits was just ending. I flick over the the plus 1 channel for that chanel to see the start of it. I have never watched the Outer Limits before and it just happened to be THE ****ING EPISODE I READ ABOUT LAST NIGHT IN THE NIGHTMARE FUEL ENTRY. I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP.
OH CHRIST WHY DID I JUST GOOGLE HIGH OCTANE NIGHTMARE FUEL?!
I just spent two hours reading nightmare fuel on TvTropes. I don't want to go to bed now but I have work tomorrow. The worst offendors were the Twilight Zone and Psychonauts. I had forgotten about the secret room with the inner demons in the rave level and I didn't need to know that you can hear the sound of children crying in the music for that level.
LOL, that's true. Like any medium, once you start critically analyzing things like TV shows and video games as a profession or as a hobby, it's not fun the same way it used to be. It's a similar feeling if one was a TV/movie director or screenplay writer, or even a game dev too. It just takes the sense of "fantasy" out of everything. Although websites like TV Tropes is more likely to ruin my life in the sense that I'll be spending too much time browsing them tbh.
