My caravans can now move through safely without having to worry about stupid. Thanks, Hero! I don't have a lot to give you for helping me so selflessly but please take this poultry sum of gold, with my deepest respect! Your name shall be sung throughout the lands of Australia with confidence and vigor!
God damn it why did you have to mention Megatron in the wii gun thread. Now I keep thinking about how awesome it would be to have a Masterpiece line Megatron and a MP3 player Soundwave. God damn it I want that Soundwave.
Just got back from California, specifically San Francisco, LA and Tahoe. Must say it was a very nice place and I envy you for staying in such a nice place. Never thought of telling you I was going, probably because we never really talk (And I'm asian). So I'll just leave this here just to say that San Francisco was really nice.
I agree about GIMP's layout. I like Paint.NET, it has automatic support for pressure-sensitive tablets (if PS or GIMP has this feature I have no idea how to turn it on) and I like the colour window (seems trivial but I just take likings to things for no good reason sometimes). It's not very good at transparencies and selecting specific regions of an image though.
Well, half an hour was a bit of a lie. I really have no much time went into it as I did it very slowly in between reading the forum, doing programming for a college project and watching House. My original idea was in fact to have a Demoman about to get a crocket in the face a la the "Look Out, Adolf" US navy poster from WWII but I realised I would have to draw it with a mouse as my tablet is broken and I did not have the time. So I decided to look for good Soldier and maybe dead demo pics on Google Images. Pickings were slim. Eventually I just decided to use the medal picture. I did the recolouring in Paint.NET which does not have a replace colour tool, or a magnetic lasso, and its magic wand isn't great, so I had to select the areas by mouse with the normal lasso for the most part, which is really boring, so I did it between, as I said, reading the forum, watching House and programming.
