Lol. The only thing you got over me is the (unused and useless) pc3700 ram. Your oc'ed 2.4 is dog shit compared to mine. MWAHAHAHAHAHA.

Pfff yeah right. The 2.4c will make it to 3.2ghz and higher, 1000FSB, and the PC3700 ram will be there when OCing to increase bandwiths, so it will Pwn J00 setup!!! Your 3.0 probly wouldnt even run stable at 3.2

Oh yeah and NW's right!!! My 2 comps will just jump your poor guy

Actually I've gotten mine up to 4.0ghz STABLE. However, even with 7 fans and the alpha PAL HSF my temp was around 60c so I chose not to **** with it. However, I can EASILY go to 3.6 without a sweat, and well over 1000FSB with ease.

Dude I'd be careful with the cooling. Unless you got vapor or water cooled parts I doubt fans alone can handle it, even with pc3700.

People with my Zalman heatsink have gotten it up to 3.6, fairly stable, with fairly low CPU temps. Im only intending on OCing to around 3.2, with 1000FSB so itll be fine. Dont forget the 2.4c is the #1 OCing CPU available right now, plus i have my IS7-G, extremely stable for OCing 2.4c's by alot

Igneri , no matter how much you overclock someone with a 3.0 or 3.2 could put in some extra cooling and overclock you to embarassment.

You really want to bet on that? If you read around on www.hardforum.com (#1 hardware forum) Youll find out the 2.4c (costa rica and malaysia chips) can be OCed over 4ghz. Pretty sure someone on this board has some kickin cooling and got it at 4.0 stable. Tell me when you find a 3.0 or 3.2 that can run pretty stable at that, maybe with vapochill.

Still doesn't beat me or Igneris. :) But excellent none the less.

And I've gone to 4.0 without a hitch I've told u this. I could probably get around 4.5 if I had water cooling maybe even 4.8. 3.0's are excellent oc'ers especially with the ASUS AI series which even assists you in oc'ing.

Un0x here is all I know:

-the 9500 has better performance than the 9600.
-if you've got the cash go for the 9800 forget the 9700, the difference in the price is so small you should definitely go for the 9800.

    So it comes down to:
    -Student Budget: 9500
    -Sultan of Brunei style: 9800

I want to upgrade my video card, but I can't seem to choose between the two: spending 400euros on one piece of hardware sounds ridiculous to me.

^^ Geforce 4 TI4200's can now be found for $100 bucks. That and 256mb more ram would make a huge performance increase.

    Specs are in sig.
