Wasn't that bombing about spain having troops in iraq supporting the US? ;)

Not the "western way of life"...

Maybe they just thought the buildings were ugly or something...
Perhaps it was an attack on the buildings and not america

No glue? What were you thinking - you must possess at least some form of adhesive product before posting. So next time before anyone here opens their big mouth, make sure you have:

    - some aerosol spray adhesive
    - duct tape
    - masking tape
    - Post-it note
    - Aryldite Super Glue.

Hooly f*ck talk about beating on a dead horse... :stare:

    Anyways, my opinion:

Someone finally had the balls to stand their ground (a.k.a. the States). The terrorists don't like to lose power over people. Hence they behave the way they do. Religion is just the lamest BS cover up. Come the **** on, their own books are contradictory, do not murder others, yet killing others in a war is alright in the name of "god"? Give me a goddam break...

Sure the US has many nasty messes to clean up (MANY), at least someone finally pushed back at terrorists... No honestly, when was the last time a country took an offensive and not just a "we won't do anything and hope they leave us alone" defensive stance?

I'll push rather then shove, thank you very much.

"I say to you that security is an indispensable pillar of human life and that free men do not forfeit their security, contrary to Bush's claim that we hate freedom."

"Even though we are in the fourth year after the events of September 11th, Bush is still engaged in distortion, deception and hiding from you the real causes."

-English transcript of Usama bin Ladin's speech in a videotape sent to Aljazeera

and then he goes on to list the reasons

i'm not saying he is right, i'm just pointing out what the man, who started it all, had to say about it all

No, that was an opinion made out of facts.

If you disagree, then you may as well admit you're for the extremist side. Your case is just as bad as promoting their agenda. If the extremist maniacs would have just gotten the hint to get the hell out, therewould be no bloodshed, there'd be no loss of life. Only peace, which seems like something that any logical person could accept. Sure, there's some other crap, but hell, I don't remember Cpt. 'Anti-Bush' ever throwing in a bid to re-construct Iraq...

Quit your whining, you're nothing but a part of the problem. Bitching about what they did wrong does NOTHING. Jack shit. Sadly, Cpt will never realize that. Bitching about what can be REALISTICALLY done (not "oh pull out like that poof problem solved no more terror no more fear"), THEN feel free to contribute.

We call it real life buddy.

Wake up out of your game.

There's a problem. It wasn't intentional. I'm sure the soldiers there didn't want to have complications either. I'm 110% they'd be alot happier if all they had to do was walk the streets in dress downs giving away Beanies to the kids. But no, someone too goddam stubborn to accept something else and not want to force it down someone else's throat decided he'd use his AK-47 to lean stuff to his advantage. Sadly, the US won't let it's soldiers drop like flies. Hence the necessity for their armoury and weapons. Ironic how they need to take a defensive stance in Iraq as this was an offensive mission in the beginning.

How do YOU realistically propose to fix this problem?

That's the problem! He was under a monitor forever! He kept doing exactly what he was told NOT to do! That's why the US went in the first place.

    He was!

We have to show the youngest generation that they need not believe in one god or one set of beliefs, they may choose freely what they do and don't believe in. Exactly the opposite of what a dictator like Saddam imposed.

    Long live freedom.

Until it works itself as "normal" in their minds, they'll need someone to hold their hands until they finally get to choose for themselves. The US, pretty crappy, but saying they're a weak leadership... Man, you'd be a lost cause.

Sure as hell can't be us Canucks, we have trouble with dam peacekeeping missions. Thank you liberals.

'The terrorists'. It makes you wonder if people think there's some kindof worldwide club terrorists are in, and they have their annual terrorist meeting every year with biscuit rings and coke in plastic cups to decide which country to bomb the **** outof next.

Terrorists are people, just like everyone else. If you want to know why people do stuff, how they feel - look at the cause, not the effect.

    You ****ing ****.

But perhaps, if you could remove your head from your ass long enough to think for yourself, you would see that the official explaination as to why we were attacked was completely devoid of any inclanation that our foreign policy and our continued mockery of the middle east in support of israel may have been partially to blame.

Good idea Alex. I propose that you go to Iraq and lead a protest march in the major cities wearing an A-Frame saying 'Free Saddam - Dictators Have Rights Too.'

I can pretty much guarantee that you will manage to take about 10 steps before a howling bloodthirsty mob tears you to pieces.

You need to get a sense of perspective. Its words on a forum from a dude you don't know. If you freak out about something like this, how are you gonna deal with some real issues where it does matter?

I'm tired of "debating" with you seinfeld... You only hear what you want to hear, I do it to, so I know. I'm also sick of your attempt to single me out, and try and belittle me. Most of all though, I'm just tired of you.

How about you mind your own? Remeber, i'm also a dude on a forum you don't know, so your snap judgements of me and how I might "freak out" when real issues arrise, are completely baseless, and contradictory.

    1. I dont single anybody out. If a post deserves a response I'll make it. I'm not going to count how many times I've responded to X person.

    2. If you dont like what I post, put me on that ignore list thing. I've never been insulting as badly as you have been. In fact, I think I do a good enough job of not insulting anybody. Nobody is forcing you to read anything I write, nor are they forcing you to respond to it.

    Solution:

    1) Free Saddam and restore him to power.

    2) Pull all US troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan,

    3) Watch the Middle East descend into anarchy.

There you go - problems solved.

It was a forum post - not a pm. If you wanted no1 to comment on it you'd expect you would not have posted it in a public forum.

    Hmm....

I kind of think that looks like freaking out to me.

I think Pressure got it pretty well... We don't really know why, we never will know the REAL reason besides all the propaganda crap that BOTH sides use to sway support.

I would also like to recognise Seinfeld, for a superb comment:
Mostly becuase it is so damn true. Most of you here on these forums are anti bush, and a smalled # are anti-america in general. Somehow, you will always find a way to trace it back to us, so it is "our fault." If the US stopped all peacekeeping ops right now to appease so radical group, about 30% of the world would immediatly decend into chaos. No one cares though, because it doesn't affect them.

He said that, not me, I made no mention of us being attacked, being our fault. But to completely deny our policies had any involvement, and that we were only attacked because of our "freedom" is not only naive, but wreckless.

If they wanted to attack people who were "free", there are plenty of targets on that side of the globe, it would have been cheaper, and easier for them to attack say european countries... So you tell me, you honestly believe that hogwash, that the only reason we were attacked was because of our "freedom"

I didn't blame bush, this hatred stems way back, before bush 1 even. And clinton do near a damn thing about it either. But you guys are just being rediculous.

911 wouldn't of occured if the airport security did their job, remember that, neither would it of happened if Bush didn't ignore the threat. To be personally honest it was either a fluke or someone wanted it to happen (and I'm not just talking about the terrorists neither)
