To you guys living in the US: What does the average Joe around you think about Iraqi Massacre going on? What are their opinions on Bush? The censorship of the media? What do they think was the real cause of 9/11?

Why are people so reluctant to impeach Bush, and what are people doing about it? What are the steps being taken to make Uh-Merica a better nation than it is today?

If you can ask these questions to your family, friends, classmates, and/or co-workers, it'd be greatly appreciated.

The average American is too preoccupied with sports, TV, movies, and celebrities to do anything about the government.

I'm pissed off that my family still supports bush. I wish there was something I could do to change their mind, but they're so stubborn.

I mean, I know they're conservative and all, and I was too... but damn, how can they support this clown anymore?

Then when another attack happens on U.S soil all we hear the "why do they hate us" routine.

Not much point trying to convince many Americans anymore.

A democratic goverment will be no better btw. The government is ruled by the military industrial complex!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111one

About 35% of America is still retarded.

"Iraqi Massacre?" Show me a massacre.

Most people dont like Bush because of the way he handles our country.

We still believe Al-Qaeda is responsible for 9/11. There are always conspiracy theories about everything.

And, please respect our country and call it "America" instead of Uh-America. Thanks. We dont demean your country do we?

And there are really no grounds to impeach Bush.

The man waged war on two sovereign nations. Both were ruled by very evil people, no doubt, but instead of a revolution for freedom (that is internal) Bush gave them a war that flattened their countries and economies.

Not to mention his advocacy and protection of torture camps holding people without trial.

Oh, and did I forget his lawless, domestic wiretapping program? That was fun too.

Hard to answer, i know personally im against the war, but i know some who are for it, not sure why. The real cause of 911? Terriwrists?

Impeaching Bush isnt going to happen. Theres every reason to do it, but realistically, whats the point when yuo know its destined to be a long drawn out process that results in no change. 2008!

Ok, so we waged war. Then why hasnt every president that waged war been impeached? You cant expect instant results and instant success in a war torn country.

I dont know what to say about the so called "torture camps," i dont know alot about them.

    Regarding the wiretapping:
    Wikipedia:

Article II, Section 4, states: “The President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

Why, what's the point? you clearly don't think he should be impeached, and I don't think I can convince you of otherwise so let's just leave it at that. I think he should be impeached, you don't, that's it.

Why should Americans care about the massacre of Iraqis? Americans should only care about the massacre of Americans.

I can't quite understand that frame of mind. Because we were born on this chunk of dirt instead of that one we are somehow valued more? I think we should learn from the past but never let it interfere with our ability to lead our own lives. Unfortunately, we often do neither of those and it causes lots of problems.

I think the whole situation in Iraq is retarded and all because of the US. The whole thing is surrounded by scandilous crap like the prisons and getting oil. Gimme a break the entire country is getting ripped off before our eyes and we're sitting back and taking it.

probably because you are the cause directly or indirectly of every single death in iraq ..as occupier it is your duty (international laws that you (the US) signed) to provide peace and security to the lands you occupy

lying to congress is an impeachable offense ...hey if it was good enough for Clinton ...and the only person he hurt was hilary ..Georgie has 600,000 dead iraqis under his belt ..tar and feathering and running out of office would be too soft

No, the average American is too preoccupied with an oversea's popularity contest to feasibly do anything effective. Our congress is powerless, where powerless because of Congressional powers, and Bush is above it all.

Although, they're are those who are apathetic.

The Iraq war is getting to the stage where people are not afraid to make fun of it anymore. The new games, TV episodes, and movies are starting to go into the Iraq war, where it used to be slapped many times for even thinking about it.
    Plus: [Joke on Scrubs]
"I'm at the part where George Bush says 'Mission Accomplished', but theres still like 400 more pages to go!"

Just curious to see as to what country to live in since you seem to have such a strong hatred of the United States.

Regarding the video and my view. Well, the title says it all "Powell and Rice assure everyone Iraq is NO THREAT pre-9/11"

After 9/11, we took a more serious look at the middle east and saddams prior actions
and we felt that for the security of our nation and the worlds we took action to eliminate his regime from power.

yes because with 90 posts to your name you'd know exactly how I feel, have we met? I'm Stern, pleased to meet you

you did watch the video, right?

so in a few short months you went from "Saddam poses no threat, has NO WMD, we have him completely contained" to "OMG HE'S GONNA KILL AMERICA WITH THE WMD AND THE GNARLEY CHEMICALS AND THE HEY HEY!!!11"

oh and you didnt seem all that concerned of saddam's prior actions, in fact you actively took part in them, with much gusto I might add

nope, that was a lie: Saddam was no threat, watch the video

    no, that was a lie:

minutes from a meeting between Bush and Blair in 2002, months before the invasion:

    http://www.downingstreetmemo.com/memos.html

in fact they actively looked for a way force saddam's hand thereby justifying an invasion:

they attempted to back saddam into a corner

the bush admin lied and manipulated it's way into iraq under false pretenses, the war was illegal..there were no wmd, your inspectors had been saying that as early as 1992, again in 94, 98 and 2002

I feel like most people still think that the war on terror has anything to do with iraq. We arent being shot at by terrorists, we are being shot at by insurgents.

Well for starters they themselves, as your government confirmed, have absolutely no connection to the al queda that attacked us on 9/11. So why call themselves al queda? Its almost as if somebody is trying to make the Iraq-al queda connection again...maybe you should spend a couple mintues to think about that one.

In addition "al queda in Iraq" is responsible for something like 3% of the total attacks that take place there. Now please, don't let me slow you down. I'd like you to get to stern's posts.

I just hate seeing everyone put down the United States constantly. I love my country and dont like to see it be put down. i understand people have their views, and i respect them, but when its constantly on the forums, it kinda grinds my gears after a while. Just seems everyone looks for someone else to blame so they turn to America.
