It started awhile back when Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono stated that models and move data for T. Hawk and Dee Jay were made, but not included in SFIV.

Recently rumors have been popping up about "Street Fighter IV Dash." (Named for Street Fighter II' [note the apostrophe], the version we in the west call Champion Edition) These were all "I heard from a friend of a friend at Capcom" rumors, but the sources were reputedly reliable. Then last week, Capcom's official SF blog posted that TGS was a week away and there might be something concrete about a certain "continuation."

Yesterday, there was this posted from Gamepro Germany. If you look closely on the monitor you can see T. Hawk, and on the poster behind whoever that guy on the right is (the Japanese guy on the left is Ono), you can see a big gray "S" behind the Street Fighter IV logo. "S" for "Super." Capcom said they'll have something for us "Maybe Monday."

Today, this happened. It's counting down to 3am PST Tuesday. This is all but confirmation. :D

    Now onto the rumor mill!

Super Street Fighter IV has been rumored to have TEN NEW CHARACTERS, eight returning from previous Street Fighters and two new ones.

From Street Fighter 2: Dee Jay and T. Hawk
From Street Fighter 3: Dudley, Ibuki and Makoto
From Street Fighter Alpha: Adon, Cody and Guy
New characters: Hakan, an Arabian grappler; and Juri, a girl working for Seth

TWO ultras for each character, plus the super; Gen will have four ultras and Sakura will get an additional shinkuu hadouken super. Some characters get air ultras.

    BONUS STAGES RETURN

"Tandan [tandem?] saving," presumably a multiple focus attack. 'Saving' is the Japanese term for focus attack.

The game takes place a year after Street Fighter IV.

The game will be an arcade release for a limited period before being ported to consoles. Console exclusive characters for Street Fighter IV will appear in the arcade version of Super Street Fighter IV; this is just my wishful thinking but I hope that the console version of SSFIV has some exclusive characters. A whole lot of people, myself included, have been clamoring for Karin to join the cast.

Some more technical details regarding specific characters, if you're interested:
    Show Spoiler
Zangief has an aerial 720 ultra called "Siberian Blizzard"

    Guile has his sonic hurricane

Dhalsim's new ultra is called "Yoga Shangri'la"

Makoto has tanden renki as her super

Cody has his knife (necessary for one of his ultras) and is the only alpha character with an alpha counter

There might be some changes to some characters' supers; as stated earlier everyone's supposed to get one super, but new metsu shoryuken (for Akuma?), Chun Li's kikosho super fireball, denjin (electric) hadouken for Gouken, and tiger cannon for Sagat have been listed as supers

    Ibuki has a run command

Dudley has his chain combos, plus an additional one (I think that there were 9, so 10 in SFIV)

    Guy has his chain combos

Rufus can cancel-break the last hit of his Spectacle Romance, or the launch kick of Space Opera Symphony

Dudley will be searching for a rose (I hope he can still taunt-throw roses)

    T. Hawk's storyline will involve protecting Juli or Juni, from Alpha

Alright girl let's get this show on the road. Time to kick some hotshot ass with karate. Hey Kenscrub, you like stun? Aww, too bad; let me introduce you to my fist.

    (I loved Makoto)

    But:
WHYYYYYY MY GOD HER WORST WHY.

Seichuusen godanzuki and abare tosanami kudaki get to be her ultras, man. Plus...I liked tanden renki. Taunt, taunt, taunt, tanden renki, KILL SOMEONE IN FOUR HITS.

Oh. Somehow I read it as her ultra being Tanden Renki, and it got me in a huff.

Also, are you serious? Who are you playing that's letting you taunt THREE TIMES in a round?

Just friends. It's not something I ever get to use against anyone else. I usually pick seichuusen anyway.

Much as I love Makoto though I'm way more excited to FIGHT LIKE A GENTLEMAN. I feel kind of torn because I still want to focus on Abel, but now that Dudley's in the game I might end up playing him a lot.

Yeah I'm excited to see what Dudley's like. We'll see what wins in boxing--greed or sportsmanship? The gloves will decide.

If he's any good on the tier list I'd say go for it. Abel's pretty straightforward, isn't he? (Haven't played as him much.) I'd always say go for chars who have variety.

Thing is, I might end up playing Dudley just to work on my ground game and apply it to Abel.

And I honestly don't play by tier lists. Hell I play Rose sometimes.

somebody post that image of the two people discussing the new characters in streetfighter 3, only to settle on ryu vs ryu.

    that always raises a smile.

but back on topic, i doubt this will be a purchase for me, SF4 didnt hold my attention for that long, i played HD remix for longer. unless they release it as DLC, which they wont.

    Some of my favorite characters

Dee Jay - So glad to see Dee Jay back, he hasn't been in a game since the Super Street Fighters at least 10 years ago. Love most of his moves. I hope they keep him cool.

I also liked Fei Long, which I hope to see return given the 'Super' status.

Dudley - my favorite from III. Really fun to use. Fun combos.

Cody - never really used him much, but he's seems fun. I like his style and his moves.

I agree about including Karin - Shes a really fun character to use. One of my favorites.

Guy - this character seems like it could be really fun but some of his moves just look awkward. I can't remember clearly but it was a really stiff looking spin kick. I don't like extremely unrealistic movements. If they improve that, I'll be happy.

    SHIT IS SO LEGIT

Stealth edit: Goddamn Bam beat me by 20 minutes. I've just had this window open all night without refreshing it. Juri is awesomesauce.

Capcom doesn't own the rights to them. I'd really love to see these characters back as well (especially Skullomania and Doctrine Dark), but I don't think it will ever happen. I don't think Capcom cares about them enough to obtain the rights, or maybe Arika won't sell them. :(

I really want DD back, but as darkside said, it aint happening for the forseeable :(

Anyway, the new character list looks pretty kick ass. It's a damn shame I'll be well off my best (which is bloody awful, tbh) when it comes out. No street fighter for me until Christmas. And then my mates are gunna beat the crap out of me.

No doubt online will still be Super Ken Fighter IV, but I'll have new things to toy with at least.

    D. Dark is the best. Reeling you in, stabbing you, and putting bombs on you before striking a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure pose. EXPLOSIVE.

ok so let me get this straight:
will it be a seperate game or part of an add-on/DLC?

I just doubt they would since SFIV has only been on PC a couple of month. Hope I'm wrong though.

You're talking about Capcom. CAPCOM. There's a pretty good chance there'll be a PC port. Capcom loves your money.

Good, because if Capcom keep up their current standard, I have no problem giving it to them :).

I don't get that delayed launch shit. I don't know what business school taught all these chumps, but it's not a good business strategy to leave your customers waiting.

The game was built on a PC, don't give us that "not ready" shit.

    I just woke up.

I just read the story in your sig, and I completely lost it.

Nice. And by the time it releases, the regular SFIV should be nice and cheap. Sweet deal.

Because Capcom. It's been that way since the 90s. I can't say they won't update it, but it's not likely.

Also Juri looks like Jolyne from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, which brings the number of JJBA-inspired characters up to 3: Guile is Stroheim, Rose is Lisa Lisa, and Juri is Jolyne.

Oh really? I wonder if there's gonna be a "SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV TURBO" or even more. Seriously the point of that was since to update it since there's no connection to the internet with the nes but if they do this NOW even though there is internet just wtf.
