Go play it immediately. It's an order. And I have an archon avatar, take this seriously. I love Starcraft, but the problem is, I can't play online because everybody I play against ****s with me, and I end up losing because of rushes. Hell, once I was playing as terran, I had like 5 marines when my enemy came with 5 zealots, and you know protoss are damn slow. People always do that with me and I'm always like wtf! then I go back to the campaign because I'm frustrated. I don't even have a established race for me, I was thinking I should be a terran player, but I don't know yet. Damn, I suck.
I'm bitchin at Zerg. I'm pretty good with toss I'm also good with Terran I beat Zerg campaigns (SC and EXP) so easily.. I can kick anyones ass with Zerg.. I f*cking HATE when assholes backstab you.. I always am most powerful on a money map, so people plan with me to kill the noob on my team, I just play along, then when they go over to attack the noob, I take them right out.. It's funny, then I save like one of his buildings for the noob to destroy.
I am somewhat prone to making 4v1 compstomps, stomping the comp, then attempting to successfully BS the other three players.
You must be good. Which race did you choose? In the Zerg campaigns, I just used 12 mutalisks + 12 guardians, I could beat any enemy in the campaign. I'm trying to decide between Terran and Protoss because Zerg are out, because I suck, obviously.
Get Guardians really quick if you're going against just computers.. Guardians kick their asses.. As long as you can get guards quickly before they have air-to-air attacks, you're good.. The thing that gets alot of people in online games is that they never upgrade.. If you're playing a low-money map, then don't waste on upgrades, but if you're playing a money map upgrade like mad. The main thing everyone should know, though, is hotkeys.. Know ALL of them, and play very quickly. If you ever find yourself not doing anything (i.e. waiting for something to build) you're doing it wrong.
I do know some hotkeys, but not all. They are usually easy to learn anyway. I just don't understand how can people be so fast. How can a random guy get 5 zealots before I get 5 marines? But well I do wait... most of the time. I don't know what to do while the scvs are working so I just... wait. D:
Well, at the start you obviously have to wait for a few minutes, but I mean atleast 5-10 minutes into the game, you shouldn't be waiting.
At 10 minutes I'm usually dead. I finished both the SC and Brood War campaigns without cheating! I can't be so bad! I SHALL TRY AGAIN!
Practice against computers.. Kill them as fast as you possibly can, and try to use as many hotkeys as possible while doing so. Then when you can beat one no problem, step it up to 2, then 3, etc, etc. I knew I was good when I could do me vs 7 comps (it's F*CKING hard, though, don't even try it on a micro-map) This is all on non-money maps, too.
I can take on 7 comps when it's free for all haha. Anyways...it's all about protoss photon canons. They are > comp. Then just use a dark archon to take a terran and zerg after you clear them out and pwn their faces with 3 armies!

Heh. *Installs* Thanks for the advice Dog--. Stern and 30,000 were forgotten. We are talking about amazing things now. Dark archons are too much micromanaging for me. Lol. Not that I can't do it, it just irritates me when they get attacked and I have to do something quick to save them.
Shhh, vag. Photon Cannons are garbage. Sunks are where it's at, noob. Even then.. You shouldn't even be relying on building defenses, it's all about the armies. You'd get decimated if it was pure photon cannons.. I just need like 3 guardians, and you're done. Even 10 lings could take out 5 cannons..
Vegeta, I swear to god, someday we'll meet in person and we'll go out to eat or something and you'll be sitting in the backseat and I'll be driving and I can already hear you telling me to watch out for that car and put on your signal and you have to turn soon maybe you should get over. What's the forum equivalent of pulling over and telling you to stfu or get out of the car? taviow, early game is critical. Learn build orders, and then do them QUICKLY. mostly it's about playing a lot and emulating what you see other people do. Watch replays on youtube or google video of good players and you'll figure it out. Playing vs. humans is vastly different than vs comps especially now that the people have had 10 years to perfect their strategies.
I want to play starcraft now, you dicks. :arms: *EDIT* getting 5 zealots is easy. I like to follow a pretty set build. This is what I remember it being, but I've not played in years... 7th probe - Pylon 8 - gate 10 - pylon 11 - gate That's a good start for a quick start. Of course, you have to CONSTANTLY be pushing out probes/SCVs/Drones every second that you're able. If you have too many at your main, expand and send a few that way. You'll never win with a shortage of Peons.
:\ I really wasn't trying to do that this time. Didn't expect this post. Just found it funny how this thread somehow turned into a discussion about some random game. But of course anything vegeta says regarding the duties of a moderator, he must be trying to backseat moderate.
I recommend you to play this "random game" called Starcraft. But I don't recommend the demo, I think it sucks. One day I will be a good player guys. But I think you will never know because I don't play with any of you. :|
As long as you have your serial you can... get it anyway... you know? My Cds have the entire game in portuguese, including unit voices/campaign characters *sigh* That's supposed to make my life easier but I prefer English, I think the Portuguese voices SUCK. So I'm going to download an ISO of the game then I'm going to use my *original* serial to get an english version. Then I'm going to play on B net! Yay! No, actually, against the computer first. I suck.
I might but it. Really cheap nowadays. OH wait.. no, I have my serials somewhere. I know I have it installed on my shite computer... ums ftw
