Today, Ritual Entertainment has uploaded some new content on to their web server, all relating to their current PC series game that is still in development, the SiN Episodes. Fortunately for us, we are able to see what has been added to their web server because Ritual is a very giving group. They've added a new blog entry that informs us of the current status of the game which, to put it simply, is pretty much done - a polish here and there is still needed but that’s always a good thing for the consumer. More media has been released as well, this time in the form of an MP3! That’s right, a sample of music that will be making an appearance in SiN has been let-loose on to the public. They don’t stop there… To top this fantastic fiasco all off, they have released yet another gorgeous screenshot![br]

    Curse you smash!

It's lucky I didn't make that newspost actually because it had "by the way, I'm not sure if this is actually the right screenshot or not. It's somewhere in their media section anyway in it. :D

    Looks smegging cool.

Hard to define, I know what it is but struggled to find a good definition. It's basically when all the little bits of something add up to something more in a way that would be hard to predict - often used to describe AI's in games at the moment. Best example I can give is a behaviour seen in "Defcon", Introversion's next game - basically a global thermonuclear war strategy, with the option to chat and ally with other countries (who are real people). A play that emerged from this was that one player shot down an allies scout plane, in the belief they were scouting him out for a future backstab murphy. The resulting retaliation and counter-retaliation ended in two allies annihilating each other through nuclear war instead of their enemies - this is emergent not because of any AI in the game, but because the diplomacy is flexible enough to allow switching sides, and most importantly because you can talk to other players and arrange backstabs etc, which generates a high level of paranoia - it's mostly done by the players, not the game.

It's 1am so that might not make too much sense... hope it helps.

    Sin looks good, too :p

Looks very average to me, aside from the water, that could have been from a game a couple of years old. The world geometry especially looks way too simple.
