If that's your ongoing joke about how all the modern gear I get looks 80s to you, it's horribly misplaced. The thing KA got is from the 70s.
Those speakers are from the late 60s, I think. My Dad got them in 69? The amp I'm less sure about... Although I think it's sort of a bit broken again, potentially the transformer is dead D:
The 1960's is a fantastic time, isn't it? Just how far are you willing to make me go with this? I'll go back as far as it takes as long as I don't predate the earliest speakers! What exactly is the appeal of older technology speakers? The inferior sound they produce?
Sound equipment from that era was quality built and built to last. Speaker technology hasn't really changed much since that time, so it's not 'old technology'. They also have a different character to the sound which may be subjectively desired
I am slowly trying to build up my collection. I have two books thus far now! Every time I order from amazon i'm going to toss in another one of the books.
Got Mortal Kombat (and the rest of this stuff) yesterday and I played the shit out of it until it was time to go to sleep. Almost didn't make it to work this morning because I was so tired. Picked up MGS4 and i'm waiting for a day off work so I can actually watch a few cutscenes. The mixer I picked up at a pawn shop for like $30. I've been wanting/needing one for a little bit.
Had a very Warped day. Bought both seasons of Rome in bluray because they were 35% off which is the cheapest I've ever seen them in a store, plus The Good, the Bad, the Weird because $10 is completely worth it for this movie, everyone should buy it. After that, my cousin texted me saying he found Firefly on sale for $19 and snagged the last two for me and him. Then I got some Universal Carriers to stand-in as Wasps for this weekend, and they're useful in pretty much any British company anyways so they're good to have. The store didn't have any actual Wasps though, so I was sad. Oh, also this Two Gallants album was $2.99. I think its the first physical CD I've bought in like two years.
From an amazing second-hand/antiquarian bookshop on Charing Cross Road: And from the same shop, Beethoven's Seventh Symphony (my favourite of the nine at the moment):
Has your xfinity on-demand been working? Mine keeps giving an error recently. Oh and nice keyboard Mr Bandwagon.

- Samsung Galaxy S3 - Thermaltake Esports MEKA G1 Keyboard - Half-Life 2 Plush Headcrab (Wanted 1 for 6 years!), finally found one for sale on Ebay. Paid almost triple its' worth, but ***k it, they're rare!
Pretty good, bit loud, but I believe black are the quietest? Or was that brown. I cant remember. With the increase in drop of each key, my typing speed is lower than say my Dell standard keyboard at work. Spacebar is great, as it's got bars underneath on each side, so no matter where you hit the space, it always registers. Some keys are spongy, some are clicky. Shift, backspace and enter are quite spongy and barely make any noise, but the everyday keys are clickity-clack. With the macro keys on the left side, I will have to get used to my hand positioning. Clearly built for gamers though. The whole keyboard feels rugged, and the keys feel like they'll last forever. Its weird how much better they feel over normal keyboards.
I like your style. Ducky 9008s (I've joined the vtnet bandwagon) MX Browns with yellow backlighting currently on its way...
800 dollars? What the ****? Why so much? Even without insurance it shouldn't be that much. I just bought a pair of prescription sunglasses with polarized lenses(yet to arrive), and they were only $320 without any kind of insurance. Over two thirds of the cost came from the lenses themselves. Eyeglasses are cheaper than sunglasses.
320 dollars? What the ****? Why so much? Even without insurance it shouldn't be that much. I just bought a pair of prescription eyeglasses, and they were only $120 without any kind of insurance. Everything is cheaper in Canada.
I edited my post above to reflect the fact that over two thirds of the cost of the sunglasses were from the lenses. The frames were 90 dollars. I got them on FrameDirect.com 120 dollars seems about right for a pair of prescription eyeglasses. That's why I'm doing a double take on Krynn's 800 dollar price. I think he got some vintage world war 2 era german eyeglasses or something.
Man, I wish. That would be boss. But nope, its just that my lenses cost a ****ing shit ton because my eyes are so ****ed up. The frames themselves were kind of pricey too, $120 and $135, but its the lenses man. I mean, I actually saved $500. Yeah, thats right, they would have been $1300 or so full price, but I had a deal where the lenses were 50% off. I'm legally blind without glasses, and have astigmatism in my right eye. I can't even read usernames on this forum without putting my face like 6" away from the monitor. ****ing eyes.
