Hey all, I recently released a book on the design of Half-Life 1. The book is part of the Reverse Design series, and it's goal is to reverse-engineer all of the design decisions that went into classic games. We've done other books before, but the one you guys might be interested is the Half-Life Book. There's a free version online which you can see here, and another version you can get as an eBook that has some extra content including an analysis of Half-Life's influence on multiplayer.
