Just FYI on new song added to main screen...

I loaded TF2 up, and the song from Meet The Spy, when the Blu Spy was talking about who could be the culprit.....that song kicked in. I freaked out and ran to the bedroom just to make sure.

I love Valve.

I still want the Sniper's awesome 80's era song and the awesome start to Meet the Spy, too.

The day I see a "NEW TF2 SONG" is the day I understand. Lackluster names of threads are sub par.

also I'm pretty sure I actually heard the sniper's theme not long after the spy vs. sniper update rolled out.

This might be a good time to bring up a thing I'm annoyed by with TF2 (and DoD: S incidentally), the music is awesome but it stops as soon as you start joining a server. It should keep going. All the TF2 songs are great and gets you in the mood to play, but then it ends the minute you double-click a server, and a part of you goes "Awww".

Oh, you think you have a problem? My audio resets every time I quite TF2, neccessitating a quick options>audio>headphones switch. Which resets the audio. WHICH KILLS MY AWESOME MUSIC.

Goddamnit.

Agreed so hard. I need the excellent bass in Meet the Sniper in my life.

Insurgency has music while the game loads. It really is an improvement.

Well, with Decadence the music plays whilst loading up a map and also whilst the game is minimised but it does seem to use it's own sound engine to play OGGs so that's probably why.

I know some Counter-Strike servers I play on starts playing music on loadup. It's obviously some mod that does that, but eh.

Dystopia also does it. Sadly, the Dystopia soundtrack is far too neurotic and creepy to make it really enjoyable.

After almost exclusively playing L4D, I decided to make a change by re-installing TF2 and jumping on the bandwagon. For some strange reason I hated TF2 when I first bought it, but now I just bloody love it. Meet The Spy video is just too amazing for words. I weirdly feel compelled to play it whenever I start up Steam. And the music... man, I actually wait 'til it finishes on the main menu to stop it cutting out when you join a server :dozey:
