Cause they have magic shields, duh! The skull that makes human weapons ineffective against shields is pretty good btw. No more BR from a distance - you have to become one with the plasma.

Agreed, I love picking people off from across the map with it. Most people can't aim it very well and thus get owned from across the map never knowing what happened. It is a very hard gun to use, but when used right it is amazing.

I found HL2 MP to be a big let down. DM is all good and the gravity gun makes things fun, but it such a missed opportunity. I remember some early screenshots with what looked like medics and I dared to hope for some class based action - resistance vs combine. If they'd borrowed a bit from RTCW, added the gravity gun - could even have dog escort missions, ET stylee. Maybe one day, it could be awesome ...

Naw, TF2 has taken over all my gaming time these days. I'll give QW another shot when I get a new pc. Does it still work with vehicles?
I havent played tf2 since the day I purchased it for some reason I havent installed the retail version of QW that came with my 8800GT ..I have only played the demo ..havent played many pc games since my brother in law came to live with us for awhile ..been playing strictly console games :O on the positive side I've started playing video games with my 4yr old son ..mostly Justice League Heroes video game indoctrination complete
Probably a little late for this but, I don't know what i'm missing, but Conquest usually takes longer for me, most of my games I won before 2000, including Diplomatic and Space Race.
Ah it's the old give the player less ammo trick. How the heck does the player ever run out of ammo anyway? These enemies can fire their weapons all they want and never run out. What is up with that? I found Halo 1 Legendary to be another day in the park. When I'm in the park there isn't anything particularly challenging going on just a few people out having a stroll. At the end of the day it's dark and you've been doing the same thing as a few hundred other people. Nothing to be proud of. As has been said. Was released separately and not part of the original game package and also; HL series was designed as a single player game. Halo series was designed as a single player game. So it's fair call to bash the Halo SP and get away with it.

Are you saying that its a bad design to give players a limited amount of ammo and that everyone should be able to shoot infinite amounts of ammo at enemies because it's stupid to have to worry about actually placing shots? How many game reviewers say "Well, I played orange box, and I putzed around an empty server in TF2 and was bored out of my mind. Orange box gets a 0/10". I missed when we began discussing Civ4. Anyway, yeah, diplomatic victory is typically impossible except online. Everyone except the two candidates always abstains. Space Race is one of the funnest, since usually even the bots are up to your level, and it makes it really tense. Plus, you can see and customize your space ship now! Freakin' awesome. Anyone ever try putting 18 civs onto a duel-sized flatlands map? XD

I could care less about your opinions, but when I say I like halo and you say "lulz, halo sucks you are stoopid" then I have a problem with that. All I am looking for is a fair, logical reason as to why in your mind halo is the worst game of all time. I have asked you multiple times and all you come up with are "I played SP once therefor the whole game is garbage" or "Wow would you stfu, stop with the logical arguments that I can't answer". No I don't. I have agreed with everyone that says the SP in halo isn't very good. I am only arguing against people who for no apparent reason say halo is garbage and anyone who likes it is an idiot. You completely failed to understand my comment. Limiting ammo in a harder game mod only makes sense because it's a harder mode, but when you think about it for a second in game perspective it doesn't. Surely game devs can think of otherways to make the game more challenging that don't rely on enemy HP boosts and reducing ammo quantities. Ignore that part for a second. As for my park comment. I said I finished Halo 1 on legendary and I thought it was a piece of piss even with the disturbing lack of ammunition, but many others have done the same thing. Playing on legendary means jack shit and does not automagically make the game better. I'm not arguing over the MP though am I? Many others tend to agree the Single Player is shit, WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT MP. I have not played Halo MP because it simply does not interest me. 3 simple words: Finish the Fight. You can't honestly tell me they spent all that advertising money advertising the wrong part of the game now can you? Now I could sit around all day talking about Halo or I could be out doing manly things like bending steel bars and then bake a pie. Pies are awesome.
Actually they don't limit your ammo at all on harder difficulties. You still get the same amount, just you use more of it. Also, they did more than up the enemies HP. The enemies are more accurate and fight smarter as well. Maybe not in H1, but in H3 they do. If I remember correctly they actually didn't release a lot of information about the game, single player or multiplayer. I do remember the ads they had were cinematic trailers, and thats about it. They really only pushed that phrase and it worked well. I still am waiting for a developer quote saying that SP was the main focus of Halo. However, if your going to tell me the game I play is garbage because you didn't enjoy SP your being ignorant. Find a real reason, you haven't even played MP so I can only assume you actually don't know what your talking about and really are just another person jumping on the halo hating bandwagon. Don't try to make up stupid excuses like ammo as for reasons the game is crap. If you don't like the game then leave it at that, but don't try to come up with pointless reasons as to why the game is garbage. The ammo portioning is such a small part of the game, if that is all you find bad about the game then they did an amazing job.
i highly foubt that, the assualt rifle is only good in close range and thats nothing compared to the shotgun.
Where did I say it was garbage? I never said that in this thread. An average game yes but not garbage. Jumping on? I've been on the wagon ever since it rolled into town. Again I did not say the game was crap I was just making a point that too many games do it and it ticks me off just a tad. Again I never said it was garbage. It was just something that came to mind at the time. I'm not by any means actually trying to bash Halo here. Just having a laugh at those trying to defend/bash it for the 1000th time. My ammo comment isn't even attacking Halo at all, seriously read: I'm sort of suggesting it's been done before and overused quite a bit. I never directly correlated that to the game being bad.
