• First look at Portal 2 Map Editor Beta

    Valvetime has stayed up late to get some shots of the new Portal 2 map editor. Below are both the use of the Steamworks integration as well as a look at a user-created Portal 2 map.

    Keep an eye on the Valvetime Youtube page for some videos featuring a full look at the Portal 2 map editor, including making and rating maps, as well as using the Steam Workshop.

    They aren't new.

    I think you're forgetting the gel which allows you to put a portal on any surface the gel is applied, and the water which washes away the paint from a surface.

    According to Sawyer, it's just singleplayer maps initially, which says to me they intend to look at adding co-op in the future.
