Looks like the last episode of this season is going to have a twist according to the preview. Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Arthur turns out to be related to Dexter. Wouldn't that be something?
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler I could almost see it going there with the Laura Moser stuff, but I really, really hope it doesn't. The preview looks like Christine is going to reach for a gun, and Deb's going to have to take her out. Hello, Dexter Morgan.
There is no way Christine can take the fall for Trinity, she probably wasn't even born when it started. Also holy shit at the trailer for the next episode...
HOLY ****! That trailer was.. insane. I loved the ending of it the ****ing best. God damn. I need to see this NOW.
Oh wow. Good episode. Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler I laughed so hard when Rita started smiling when Dexter hit that guy.
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Yeah, title gave it away. Awesome episode nontheless. Also, for fun, I just watched last week's preview for this week. Good thing I never watch them, those retarded trailers give away way too much. What idiot thought those previews were a good idea?
I'm still waiting for the supposed finale "twist." Apparently it changes the show at "the core" according to one of the cast members. Anyway, last episode was good, can't wait for the finale.
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Dexter will be found out by some of his core colleagues I imagine.
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler My guess, too. Trinity will expose him in some way, at the very least I'd bet Deb learns a little something about him.
I don't know that the title for last night's spoils the twist. I mean, it does, but it was also in the preview. So, yes it spoils it, if you hadn't seen the preview, which also spoiled it. Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler - I want to see Dexter hit Quinn. I hate that guy. - I really love that Trinity tries to go after "Kyle Butler". - When Deb was saying "I was engaged to the ice truck killer. He cut people up, drained their blood" etc, I couldn't help but think about Dexter and Rita and lol. - Totally didn't expect them to get married. Adorable. Dexter being obviously pissed seemed a bit off-putting, though. He wasn't even pretending well. - "You've been lying to me from the very beginning." - And being in a hurry to kill. It just doesn't feel right. Something's gotta give. - Loved Dexter hitting Elliot. Excellent. - YOU'VE RUINED EVERYTHING.YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN. I'M SORRY YOU WERE EVER BORN. - Totally didn't expect Christine to shoot herself. Really liked it, though. - Pretty clever how Trinity tricked Dexter into coming to the arcade, to trail him. And Trinity having the balls to walk right into the station, wow. - Excellent ending. Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler That would bum me out. I can't see a way that that could happen and still keep the show going. People are not that understanding, nor accepting. This spoiler is based off the preview for next weeks, so skip it if you don't watch those. Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler I still don't understand what the hell it's supposed to signify that Deb finds out Dexter's mother's name. I mean, I guess it could lead her to finding that the ice truck killer is his brother, but I thought said individual had used a different name? And it's not like there's anything to tie Dexter to him beyond that?
I'm keeping my mind open about the twist. Apparently, Showtime went to great lengths to keep the last part of the next episode under wraps (during the "dubbing" the finale moments were blacked out), only a handful of people know, and the ones that do had to sign NDAs (or something). According to Clyde Phillips, the finale will "blow the tops of your heads off." So, it had better be fantastic. Also, Yorick, I believe the Ice Truck Killer's real name was revealed during the last episode of Season 1. Pretty sure Batista knows, not sure if Deb was told that, though.
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Well, what I mean is, he always went by the alias of Rudy Cooper. Does anyone aside from Dexter even know his name is Brian Moser? As far as I know, it was never revealed to anyone else. All she's going to see looking into Laura Moser is that Dexter's brother "Vanished".
No, I think they found his real name at the end of season 1 when his mental hospital records were discovered.
Yes, I believe he is correct. I remember Batista mentioning "Brian Moser." I might youtube it, just to make sure.
Okay, you guys are right. What I'm learning through the magic of the internet is that after Batista was stabbed, he got a partial print, and they were able to get Rudy's mental hospital records. However, my understanding is that Harry and Dexter destroyed all files that would connect Dexter to, well, anyone, especially Laura Moser. Now, in the books Deb finds out about Dexter early on (or rather, in what we'd consider Season 1) and doesn't expose him, which I suppose they could manage with this, but I'm not sure what it would really add to the show. The books are quite silly, though, and I hope they don't take more material from them.
Harry and Dexter sure think they destroyed all files that might lead to him, but Deb's found a link between Laura and Harry independent of a direct link to Dexter's past. They may not have planned for that.
Well, certainly it seems that Deb has found it by way of the newspaper clippings. She went looking to see who Laura Moser was, like she was looking into all of her father's CIs, and found an article about Moser being killed and "is survived by her sons Dexter and Brian". But, I don't see what the hell it's going to matter. I mean, even if Deb says "Oh yeah your mother was murdered and your brother was the ice truck killer", I mean, Dexter's just gonna say "Oh shit really? That's crazy!" It's not like it connects him to anything, or makes a bit of difference at all. They've been building it up for a while, which is all good and well, but I can't think of a single way that it could work into an outcome that has any meaning. In terms of finale theories, someone had mentioned the possibility that Arthur goes after Dexter's family to begin another cycle (cement Cody, bleed Aster, push Rita, and attempt to bludgeon Dexter) which would be a really interesting, but incredibly dark - even for this show - way to end it.
Don't know how they could possibly pull it off. No time, I think. But yeah episode was great, again. About the finale: http://www.tvguidemagazine.com/kecks-exclusives/dexters-top-secret-finale-2966.html http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_with_kristin/b156447_jennifer_carpenter_warns_dexter_fans.html Jennifer Carpenter can't stop hyping it, apparently.
His false reaction can easily just convince her there's a connection if that's how the writers want to play it.
That last scene was downright chilling. Arthur's one smooth mofo. As for the season finale. I think that either Deb or Rita will end up dying. Deb mostly likely. She will probably find out about Dexter's past etc. before Arthur gets to her. I can only hope. I had enough of the obnoxious bulimic string bean.
I hope it's Deb, if only to give her a break from how miserable her life is. I wouldn't expect her to die, though. And Rita annoys me a lot more than Deb does.
" A baby? A mother-****ing rolly-polly chubby-cheeked shit machine, are you kidding me?" - how can you not like this character?
Now that Deb is married to Dexter in real life (would be pretty wincest in the show itself..) I don't think she's going anywhere. Could be wrong though.
Oh I just remembered, Dexter and Quinn almost went at it again last episode. A little tease for this big surprise ending? Show has to pick back up in the station. If Quinn walks up on them that'll be very awkward, and make Dexter act even more suspicious than usual. And if Trinity exposes his Kyle Butler alias, with another Kyle Butler who just got murdered, that's a shitstorm.
Only watched the first and second episode of Season 4, what you guys compare S4 to the other seasons?
In order of awesomeness Season 1 > Season 3 > Season 2. Season 4 is definitely better than Season 3, but I'm not sure yet if it is as good as Season 1. It's also been quite a while since I saw Season 1.
From an interview with Courtney Ford: Pretty intriguing that so much of it is even being kept secret from the cast.
Jesus, I had heard of the actual ending being theorized on the official forums, so I can't say I was surprised. Except, for, well, that extra variable. Anyway, my heart strings were played like a fiddle.
Told ya so! It was pretty obvious that one of those two characters would die by the end of this season. I expected a much bigger twist to be honest. Great season but a somewhat disappointing ending.
Had the ending spoiled for me unfortunately. God damn internet. Still, a fantastic ending, I have no idea how this will play out in the next season. Also, reading the last 20 or so posts in here made me laugh. So many predictions, was fun seeing which ones came true and which didnt. And TwwIX, you should spoiler your post in case someone hasnt seen it yet.
I hope they don't start out next season with Dexter being all bitchy about it. I would like to see at least 15 murders in the premiere.
Yeah why would he be upset about something like that? Goddamn we just need more people cut up that's all that's good about the show!
