• Codename Gordon - Released!

Discussion in 'News' started by Chris_D, May 17, 2004.

The time you've all been waiting for has arrived everybody.

Codename: Gordon has finally been released. You will need to restart your Steam clients before you can load it up. Once in to Steam, doube click on the Codename Gordon icon and it will decrypt the files you have already downloaded. Once this is done you can launch the games.

Seems like a very well made game so far and I've only seen the menus. If you give me a few hours I'll post back here with a full review!

You can find out about Codename Gordon here.

It's great, I have a 2.5ghz Radeon 9700pro and no slowdowns nor bugs for me.

Maybe they beta tested it in a similar comp, dunno, lucky me.

Works perfect for me. I love it, though I either have to quit or I die once and quit on City17 :D

This is truly an awesome game. They did a fantastic job with the artwork.

Too bad there were no biozeminades in it though.

i have to say the game looks great, but its full of bugs and its shit ... they worked 1 1/2 years for this ?! cmone, i tought the game wassupposed to be fun but i see huge bugs everywhere... mebbe the beta tester were blind ?? lol

It was playable until the strider..it lagged and i couldnt jump from platform to platform. Next time make a boss that doesn't lag the crap outta everyones computers. Otherwise it was fun. Unplayable boss though and the first one was pretty laggy too.

Well their only kids doing it for fun, If they were pro I'm sure they'd have written a platform engine to work with rather than flash :)

It's not that bad really, its pretty cool and a lot of effort has gone into it. some bits are really well done and have nice touches. Though I find it funny that people with ATI cards aren't experiencing slowdowns like the nVidia cards. Didn't think I'd see that happen with a none 3D game :)

I have to agree with Fenric on this one.

Even though this game has a some bugs, it still has loads of style and coolness in it. I've paid $50 for games that aren't even as fun or cool as this game is. And it is an amatuer project released for free.

My favorite part has to be the NPC interaction. Reading those conversations were lol funny.

yeah, the dialogs were inspired.
