Its a deep field image from the Chandra telescope that on first glance looks like a bunch of stars. But in fact pretty much every point of light within the image is an entire galaxy each possessing billions of stars! Not only that but the entire image is of a portion of the night sky that covers less than 0.1% of the night skies total... If that doesn't give you an idea of the sheer magnitude of the universe and how small we really are then you have no appreciation for science.
