Never drops low or makes it unplayable. Never checked the exact FPS though. High makes the 8800GT fan spin loud though! Medium is nicer for it, still looks wonderful though. I run my Q6600 @ 3.0ghz. 4gb memory.

About Tim and Eric Awesome show, I think it's great, I love it. Just don't expect it to have any plot at all, and whatever you do , don't try to make sense of it.
