I play primarily tenor trombone for legit & jazz, sometimes bass bone for jazz, & alto bone for legit.

It's hard for me to choose one favorite jazzer, so I'd go with Conrad Herwig (ridiculous t-bone player) & John Coltrane (I wish I could play Giant Steps like he did), probably with Wynton Marsalis high on the list as well. I'm really working on not just getting changes down cold, but working on getting some good melodies when I'm blowing over those changes. All three of them have great ideas and such, and I'm definitely in love with Herwig's sound.

Valve won't necessarily even make a HL3, they've hinted in the past that they would simply continue with episodes. If that ever does happen though we'll probably just change names and keep operating :) hopefully we'll be around as long as Valve's around.
